Lone Star Railroad Contractors, Inc. is a family-owned service-based company established in March of 1993 in Ennis, Texas. The founders at this time brought a combined 40 years of railroad contracting experience and laid a strong foundation for growth. Only anticipating working in the north Texas region, it did not take long to grow into other markets which led to opening offices in Amarillo and San Antonio, Texas, Blytheville, Arkansas, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In July of 2023, Lone Star Railroad Contractors, Inc. was acquired by GCF S.p.A of Rome, Italy (www.generalecostruzioniferroviarie.com) a market leader in Europe specialized in railroad construction and maintenance. This acquisition has added 60+ years of family managed excellence in the railway infrastructure field to continue our dream of expansion and strength. A New Construction division based out of Houston, Texas has already been kickstarted since our acquisition and we hope to expand into other market areas soon. Lone Star Railroad Contractors, Inc. has become GCF’s operating subsidiary in the United States. GCF has been serving industrial clients and mainlines through its Canadian subsidiary – Platinum Track Services (platinumtrack.ca).
The foundation of the company is built on loyal dedicated, quality employees, many of whom have been with the company since the beginning. We have nearly 20 employees with 20+ years of dedicated service, and we have a combined 231+ years of experience at our management levels.
Our railroad services include: new track construction, existing track maintenance or repairs, track inspections, track demolitions, and material procurement. We have established long term customer relationships with all classes of railroads, short line railroads, and various industries.

While Lone Star Railroad Contractors, Inc. is equipped to provide services nationwide, we primarily focus our efforts in the Southwest, Midwest, and Southern regions of the United States.
